Son implication sociale a débuté comme commissaire  scolaire, cheminement qu’il a poursuivi comme vice-président et ensuite président de la Commission scolaire Taillon. Il a également cumulé des fonctions au sein de la Commission scolaire régionale de Chambly et de la Fédération des commissions scolaires du Québec.

Il a également appuyé à titre bénévole de nombreux organismes communautaires dans St-Hubert.
 

Who is Maurice Carpentier ?
Maurice Carpentier has been a resident of district 24 for nearly 40 years. His career led him to hold many important management positions and also to become a businessman.

He first got involved in his community as a member of the Council of Commissioners of the Taillon School Board, where he eventually became Vice-President and President of the school board. He also held positions with the Chambly School Board and the Quebec School Board Federation.
 
Maurice Carpentier also supported community groups in Saint-Hubert by giving his time as a volunteer.

 

Un mot de votre candidat à l’élection partielle municipale
C’est avec beaucoup de motivation que je me présente à cette élection partielle importante pour notre district 24, dans l’arrondissement St-Hubert.
 
Comme vous le savez, cette élection est rendue nécessaire suite au retrait de la vie politique de Mme Suzanne Charbonneau.

Je sollicite donc votre appui pour représenter notre district 24 avec détermination et conviction. Pour ce faire, j’ai choisi le Parti municipal de Longueuil. Selon moi, le PML est le seul parti à l’écoute des citoyens; il me donne toute la latitude et la liberté de vous représenter comme vous le méritez.

Le premier engagement que je prends envers vous : être à l’écoute et disponible.

En effet, comme je suis résident du district 24 depuis 40 ans, je connais très bien les problèmes du district et suis le mieux placé pour les comprendre, et donc, les résoudre.

Être conseiller municipal est un travail important auquel j’entends m’appliquer à chaque jour.

Ma priorité : l’environnement, un bien inestimable à léguer aux générations futures. Protégeons-le, c’est urgent.

 

A word from gour candidate in the municipal by-election
It is with great motivation that I am seeking office in this important by-election for district 24 in Saint-Hubert.

As you know, this election has become necessary since Mrs Suzanne Charbonneau has decided to leave the political scene.

I am asking for your support so that I can represent district 24 with determination and conviction. To accomplish that mandate, I have decided to run for the Parti municipal de Longueuil. I believe that the PML is the only party that truly listens to its citizens. It gives me all the latitude and the freedom to represent my fellow-citizens like they should be.

My first engagement will be making myself available and listen to what you have to say.

Since I’ve been a resident of district 24 for almost 40 years, I know exactly what are the problems of the district. I’m in the best position to understand them, and therefore, solve them.

Being a municipal councilor is an important responsibility and I intend to work at it everyday.

My priority: the environment. It is a collective asset that we must pass on to future generations. It is urgent we protect it.
